Josef Eisgruber, ’17, competes in Army Ranger Competition

Josef Eisgruber, BCHS Class of 2017, competed in the 2025 Best Ranger Competition in April 2025. This prestigious annual U.S. Army event challenges the most elite, Ranger-qualified soldiers to compete in teams of two, testing their physical endurance, mental toughness, and tactical skills over an intense three-day competition that included land navigation, marksmanship, and a series of grueling physical challenges.
Eisgruber, an Army First Lieutenant with the 1st Cavalry Division, and his teammate, Tyler Mackenzie, finished 30th out of 52 teams.
