Recent alumni (Class of 2017) take part in summer production

Three recent BCHS alumni (Class of 2017) are part of the productions in the 2017 summer season of Shawnee Theatre, the oldest professional summer theatre in the state, located in Bloomfield, IN. Jacob deCastro designed the season poster, (view season poster here). Jackson Janowicz wrote the play, ‘World Famous Shawnee Melodrama’ to be shown July 20-23. Jack Lockrem will be performing in that play. BCHS Theatre teacher Bri Lindsey is the Producing Artistic Director of the Theatre. Find out more about the Shawnee Theatre. Better yet, drive down to watch a performance. Bloomfield is directly west of Bloomington, about 2 hours drive from BCHS.

Katherine Sergi, ’13, is Disney photographer

Katherine Sergi, BCHS Class of 2013,  recently contacted us from Disney World! She  is working at Walt Disney World as a photographer and also at the Orlando Science Museum as an educator.  Thank you for sharing your accomplishments, Katherine!

Marlin Bunnell, ’15, makes Football Honor Roll

Marlin Bunnell, BCHS Class of 2015, was named to the Pioneer Football League Honor Roll for the second year! Marlin is majoring in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Dayton.

Rob Dury, ’13, is named to All-American Team

Congratulations to Rob Dury, BCHS Class of 2013, on being named to the 2016 Don Hansen Division II All-America Second Team! This was Rob’s first collegiate career All-American honor! Rob, a member of the U. of Indianapolis football team, compiled 125 total tackles last fall, ranking sixth in Division II in tackles per game (11.4) and seventh in fumbles forced (3). He finished his collegiate career with 392 tackles, sixth in UIndy’s all-time list. Read the full story in the U. of Indianapolis website

Anna Logan, ’15, is named to All-Region Team

Congratulations to Anna Logan, BCHS Class of 2015, as she reaped honors for the 2016 volleyball season at Butler U. Anna was named as AVCA Div. I All American Honorable Mention, AVCA All-East Region First Team and Big East Unanimous First Team All Big East. Anna is the first Sophomore in Butler History to be named an All-American, and is the 5th Bulldog All-American. Amazing! Read about the All-Region honors

Anna Logan, ’15, excels in Butler volleyball

Anna Logan, BCHS Class of 2015, was a three sport standout at BCHS (volleyball, basketball and track) and the 2015 City Athlete of the Year. Now, she plays volleyball at Butler University and leads the nation in total attacks (1,213) and ranks fourth in the NCAA in total points (526) and kills (464) and 13th in kills per set(4.46). Lucy Eisgruber, ’15, continues writing

Lucy Eisgruber, BCHS Class of 2015, has continued writing since she’s left BCHS and now has several articles published on futurefemaleleader.com, where she is a one of their contributors. Future Female Leaders is a group that supports women who believe in the traditional American values of independence, hard work, personal responsibility and accountability.
