Basketball is back in the Linehan Family! In June 2015, Jeff Linehan, BCHS Class of ’73, was named JV Head Coach/Varsity Assistant by the new Girls Basketball Head Coach, Katie Fisher. His daughter, Kacie Linehan, Class of ’02, will join him as an assistant coach. Jeff was previously a coach on the BCHS Freshmen Girls Basketball staff. Welcome back to the Linehan’s!

Did you notice someone familiar on CNN? Sara Wagner, BCHS Class of 2007, was the narrator/reporter on a piece on Bishop Dwenger high school teacher Jessica Hayes who consecrated herself to Jesus in a ceremony on Aug. 15, 2015. This piece was syndicated via CNN. Sara graduated from Purdue and has been a reporter at WANE-TV, Ft. Wayne since 2013.

As BCHS athletes look forward to spring boys lacrosse season, they have alumni nearby to guide and teach them! Under a new head coach Tim O-Shea, alumni Bob Graham, ’09, and Hank McDonough, ’09, are assistant coaches for the team next spring. Recently, the team participated in their first annual fall service event, a boys lacrosse tourney for grade school students, conducted at BCHS. The admission for the event was a toy, donated to the Toys for Tots program!

Abby Specht, Class of 2009, presents the goodie bag to Robert Downey Jr, thanking him for his appearance at the Heartland Film Festival, Oct. 2014. Downey attended a QandA about his new film, ‘The Judge’. Abby works for the festival. Our own BCHS Film Club has a film shown in the festival, high school category. ‘It Sticks’ will be shown on Oct 17, 19, 21, and 24.

It’s official! Zack Martin recently signed with the Dallas Cowboys! First-round 16th-overall pick Martin has signed a 4-year deal with the Cowboys! Congratulations Zack!
