Denise Morrow, ’92, teacher, singer

Denise Morrow, BCHS Class of 1992, earned her bachelor’s in elementary education from Marian University and is presently working on her master’s in curriculum and education at Western Governors University. Denise taught 1st grade for 9 years, kindergarten: 1 year, preschool: 1 year and is presently a 2nd grade teacher. She also keeps busy outside of school. She is a member of St.Rita’s Church where she sings in the choir. She is also a member of the Indianapolis Philharmonic Gospel Choir. She received her 25 year pin as a member of the Knights & Ladies of St. Peter Claver, Christ the King Court #97. Thank you so much Denise, for sharing your accomplishments and interests!

Amy (Scheidler) Sweet, ’04, welcomes new daughter

Amy (Scheidler) Sweet, BCHS Class of 2004, wrote: We welcomed Rosie Joan Sweet to our family on June 4, 2017. She was born 11 weeks early, but after 82 days in the NICU she is home and thriving! So cute – and glad to hear she is thriving!

Colin McSharar, ’07, leads Anderson U. Women’s Lacrosse team

Colin McSharar, BCHS Class of 2007 and previous assistant coach for BCHS women’s lacrosse, has been named as Anderson University’s first women’s lacrosse coach. Previously, he was the head coach of women’s lacrosse at Franklin College and had coaching experience for the men’s club team at Butler U. Sara (Perry) Bye, ’09, is married

Congratulations to Sara (Perry) Bye, BCHS Class of 2009! She writes to tell us she recently married Andrew Bye. They are expecting their first child in March. The family resides in Bluffton.

Jenny (Bryant) Lis, ’03, writes a book for children

Jenny (Bryant) Lis, BCHS Class of 2003, and her husband Eric have self-published a children’s book, Up All Night – A Bedtime Story. Rob Kuhlman, ’08, working for Kansas

Rob Kuhlman, BCHS Class of 2008, recently sent us this news: ‘I am currently the Communications Director for Congressman Ron Estes (Kansas-4) in Washington D.C. I’d be happy to help coordinate Capitol tours when BCHS students are in DC during March for Life, etc!’ Thank you for your news and your work in Washington!

Greg Fehribach, ’76, is honored

Greg Fehribach, BCHS Class of 1976, has recently been honored for his work in creating accessible environments for those with physical and sensory disabilities. The Eskenazi Health and Eskenazi Health Foundation has announced a $1.5 million grant from Lilly Endowmnent Inc. to expand their Initiative for Empowerment and Economic Independence (IEEI) with the ultimate goal of establishing the new Gregory S. Fehribach Center for Empowerment and Economic Independence by 2019. The Eskenazi Health Program empowers Indiana college students with physical and sensory disabilities to find gainful, sustainable and equitable employment through diverse internship opportunities.
