Rob Dury, ’13, is named to All-American Team

Congratulations to Rob Dury, BCHS Class of 2013, on being named to the 2016 Don Hansen Division II All-America Second Team! This was Rob’s first collegiate career All-American honor! Rob, a member of the U. of Indianapolis football team, compiled 125 total tackles last fall, ranking sixth in Division II in tackles per game (11.4) and seventh in fumbles forced (3). He finished his collegiate career with 392 tackles, sixth in UIndy’s all-time list. Read the full story in the U. of Indianapolis website

Anna Logan, ’15, is named to All-Region Team

Congratulations to Anna Logan, BCHS Class of 2015, as she reaped honors for the 2016 volleyball season at Butler U. Anna was named as AVCA Div. I All American Honorable Mention, AVCA All-East Region First Team and Big East Unanimous First Team All Big East. Anna is the first Sophomore in Butler History to be named an All-American, and is the 5th Bulldog All-American. Amazing! Read about the All-Region honors

Anna Logan, ’15, excels in Butler volleyball

Anna Logan, BCHS Class of 2015, was a three sport standout at BCHS (volleyball, basketball and track) and the 2015 City Athlete of the Year. Now, she plays volleyball at Butler University and leads the nation in total attacks (1,213) and ranks fourth in the NCAA in total points (526) and kills (464) and 13th in kills per set(4.46). Ellen Collier, ’11, becomes Washington Post designer

Ellen Collier, BCHS Class of ’11, just took a job in Washington D.C. and is a designer for The Express, the commuter magazine of the Washington Post. The photo is of her first cover design. Good luck on the new job, Ellen! Ellen is a graduate of Ball State.

Allison Graham, ’13, is named Indiana Daily Student editor

Congratulations to Allison Graham, BCHS Class of ’13, who was recently named editor of the IDS (Indiana Daily Student) at IU. This a huge responsibility and a great honor for her. This summer she interned and published with the Pulitzer prize-winning The Post & Courier in Charleston, SC.

Emily Schafer, ’10, begins religious vocation

We recently heard from Emily Schafer, BCHS Class of 2010. She writes:

I entered Candidacy with the Daughters of Holy Mary of the Heart of Jesus. They are a religious order from Madrid, Spain. They have a Novitiate in Steubanville, OH where I will be for Candidacy, Postulancy and 1 year of Novitiate.
